Need help: Jennings or Axford

Postby siugrad30 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 7:33 am

In my standard, 10-team, 5x5 league, I already have three closers in Kimbrel, Street, and Jansen. Is it worth me picking up Axford and dropping Jennings? My outfielders are Holliday, Kemp, Ethier, and Harper (I use Zobrist as a 2B). I'm 2nd in saves (85), 10 behind the leader and three ahead of the No. 8 team.

Thank you so much.

How many closers can you start each day? Would you be able to start 4 RPs?
Is this a H2H or points/roto league?

Jennings has been slowly picking it up over the last couple of weeks, but I still have wonder how often you will start him over the other guys you listed?

Without more info, I'd probably pick up Axford and drop Jennings.

Sorry, this is a roto league and yes, I would be able to start all four on a daily basis unless I had 2+ starters going on the same day. I love the fact that Jennings is slowly starting to pick it up, that's why I moved on him but other than dropping Lawrie or Zobrist, Jennings is my only other choice. Does that change your mind?

No, I think I would drop Jennings and pickup Axford. Of course, Axford isn't currently the closer in Mil, but will probably get his job back soon. Another option might be Cordero who has absolutely no competition for the closer job in Houston... but then again, how many save chances will he get? ;)

Well thats like trading a solid young OF for a closer that does not have his job. Pass or deal for one. You can probably get a more established closer for one of your OF (Ethier or Jennings)

All else fails on trade market snatch Cordero/Wilhelmsen/Axford after about a week of trying to trade)
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
