No way. Kevin Long and Giradi will get to him and he will be swinging from his heels as hard as he can trying to hit Hrs on every pitch and rack up a huge number of ks just like the rest of the lineup.

Ichiro has stated previously that he could hit, I think it was 50, HR if he wanted to. Maybe this is the time he decides to try it out. He will face the AL East opponents with the zeal of a challenger.

Looks like he hit .322 as a Yankee last year and his slugging percentage was near the highest of his career...though in only 227ABs.

And just signed a 2 year deal to return to the pinstripes.
