The Yankees have acquired Ichiro Suzuki and cash considerations from the Mariners in exchange right-handers D.J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar, according to Jack Curry of the YES Network (on Twitter).

So how does this impact everybody from a fantasy perspective

Is it possible this makes Ichiro an even worse play at this point because he'll be buried in the line up? I guess that short porch doesn't hurt though.

I don't see how you can bump Grandy out of the 2-hole..and even if you did, I also can't see Grandy batting third and everyone just sliding down...

So what's the dealio.

wasn't one of the reason Ichiro went to Seattle was to be on the west close? closer to his home country, not that that the West Coast is anywhere near Japan. it's Japan he's from right?

Yeah I mean..that's well and good

But you'd figure after 12 years of MLB Service the proximity to Japan wouldn't be at the top of his list anymore...the only thing I can think is he's just too loyal of a guy to abandon the Seattle faithful..but this is the Yankees, a shot at being good for seemingly the first time since the record-breaking 2001 M's..

He's 38. If he was smart, he'd say bollocks to home country proximity and go for the title before he hangs them up. Can't be much longer now given how his year has gone.
