Colby Lewis was diagnosed with a torn ligament in his pitching arm and is expected to undergo season-ending surgery.
The exact nature of the injury isn't yet clear, but there are whispers that he will require Tommy John surgery. Lewis returned from the disabled list last week and allowed one run over five innings against the Athletics, but the pain in his forearm lingered. It's a terrible blow for the Rangers, as Lewis has a solid 3.93 ERA over 80 starts since returning to the United States in 2010. Martin Perez will take his place in the starting rotation in the short-term, but the Rangers figure to be on the market for pitching help leading up to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.

Of course. I just traded for him two weeks ago, My team is cursed.

Apparently I should've traded him when the offers were rolling in 2 - 3 weeks ago. !+)

Through draft and trades...I've managed to assemble Halladay, Lester, and Lincecum on one roster...

WTF
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?

After Bryce Harper reminds me that he's going to own the Mets for at least the next decade and a half, Ryan Zimmerman with the 3-RBI double. Nats are just thrashing the Mets in extra inning games this year, and the harsh reminder that the Mets' bullpen is the worst in the league. :-°

aaaaand, the HR by Morse as the added kick in the Nuts. 6 ER in the 10th inning. I feel like I should hashtag MetsBullpen there or something.

If he can hang onto this QS I'll be more than happy. If they can get him off the hook I'll be even more thrilled. :-°

Halladay/Liriano/Wandy/FRodriguez/ and Marmol = 16.1 IP, 11.02 ERA, 2.08 WHIP. at least it's my one public yahoo team mostly for fun, so I'm not really worried.
