Absolutely. Even in a keeper league I would make this deal. A dynasty league might require more thought, however.

Wow i'm pretty surprised at how you guys think this is a no brainer. I know mike trout is a rookie but hes looking like the al mvp right and timmy is the really the x factor if he can be his cy young self rest of way then i should decline..

You would be gaining ground in literally every category except stolen bases. The other guy is an idiot for offering that.

Don't forget weaver is part of this deal. If Timmy turns is around? It's almost August. Not much time to turn anything around. Timmy is a mess this year. And trout is a rookie. Even if he's a special rookie, he won't likely top Braun for a full season. Braun has done this for a career. Trout has done it for 300 AB's.

Ditto. Lincecum is not worth squat at this point and Weiters is an a decent C option but I much rather take my chances with Weaver and Braun at the cost of Trout. Two top players for one top player, a mediocre C and a guy that belongs on the wire.

I am really amazed that about 2/3 of the way in people are still holding out hope for the Lester's and Lincecum's of the league. Bait should have been cut months ago on them, esp. in this era of post-roids elite pitching where now a number of SPs put up ERAs under 3.

I would EASILY make this trade. Trout is a stud in the making but Braun is proven. Lincecum is having a poor year and likely wont bounce back enough to make his value worth keeping.
