Getting Enough for Lester?

Postby rasto21585 » Sat Jul 21, 2012 4:11 pm

I am in a 20 team h2h dynasty league. I could use an offensive boost. Anyway I was thinking of trading lester for morse. Is this a good deal for me?

I'd be a little worried about your pitching staff, but it is not like Lester was keeping it afloat anyway. It's a fair deal that should help you out offensively, indeed. Morse seems to be back in action nicely.

I just dealt Lester in a dynasty league. I did Lester Zambrano and Alcides Escobar for Reyes and a 3rd round pick. Zambranos contract expiring this season and Escobar's after the 2013 season with Reyes and Lester lasting until 2016. I feel like you might be able to get more depending on if the person feels Lester will really bounce back. I ended up dealing him to a Red Sox fan so it certainly helped

Lester has been garbage all season in most mixed leagues and after today's 11 ER performance, he is being cut outright in most shallow leagues. Thankfully I cut bait months ago in the one league I drafted him in and outright released him. The owner that picked him up just go hammered lol. If you can get Morse for him it is a steal and I tend to doubt you will get anything for him.
