It's the same one you keep dismissing just because.

I'm not dismissing it just because. I shouldn't sit through 2.5 hours of a movie without any motivation for the bad guys and have to be straight up told what's going on in some poorly placed monologue. Also when they do finally lay it out there for us it should probably make sense.

I'm talking about the League of Shadows explanation offered early and often.

It works for me, but you just toss it out like it doesn't matter at all.

Not gonna go through all your posts so I'm just going to single this out.

You're completely wrong here. Bane's character brought one thing that we hadn't seen yet oppose Batman: a better fighter. Due to his superior strength and skills he easily bested Batman in their first go around so the test was to see if Bale's character could beat him in a one on one fight. Sure, the Joker was perhaps more interesting in that he used tricks, diversions and general ingenuity but why did the trilogy need to go down that route again? Absolutely love the producers/writers didn't go down this road again and so should you. Retreaded villains and their plots suck.

Your explanation totally works for me and a number of others out there but it's obvious GF won't accept this. ;-7

those fights were boring as all hell. it was so obvious batman was going to lose the first one, i was practically just waiting for it to be over. i didn't say they had to go down the same path as joker, but bane was srsly just boring.
