Minor for KRod...do I need the saves?(WHIR)

13 team, NL Only league, keeper, auction league with 260 dollar cap, roto style 4x4 cats(Runs Produced, HR, RBI, SB x Wins, Saves, WHIP, ERA). I am currently in 4th place only a half of a point out of third and I am second to last in saves but made recent trades for Papelbon and Casilla. I am first in wins though.


Was offered KRod who just got the closer job for my Mike Minor. Would you do it?

Mike Minor is cannon fodder in my league. I say go for it if you get KRod. He might not get saves for long but should get another handful of so over the next 1-2 weeks. Heard rumor that the Brewcrew is trying hard to get Axford back into the 9th. Sort of expected...

Yeah, I can tell you really need saves with Oviedo on your roster, though it is an NL Only league so I can understand the hopes. I don't think you should make the trade only because your pitching staff will be that much further minimalized. I would rather gamble on Minor for the upcoming few months to keep you in first on Wins then get a guy who probably will end up as a setup guy sooner rather than later. Since this is an NL Only league Minor might prove more valuable in the long run if he gets a rhythm going.
