Yoenis Cespedes is very quietly putting together a very solid rookie campaign.
His 162 game pace is .292 AVE, 30 HR, 127 RBI, 16 SB, .875 OPS. His only substandard stat is runs (162 game pace of ~67), but that is out of his control to a large degree.
That said, where would you guys rank him going forward? Obviously his recent hot streak has helped to increase his 162 game pace, but still... Even before his recent surge his numbers were very respectable.
He's doing it quietly because he's been on the DL for 1/3 of the season. A lot of people also feel that his BA will drop much lower than where it is now. He's about on par with Austin Jackson, I think. Similar type of players too; swing hard leading to a lot of Ks, and above average at stealing bases. Cespedes has a lot more power though obviously.
Rest of the season I'd think something along the lines of .265-25-10-40-5. Assuming he stays relatively helathy.
This guy is absolutely locked in at the moment. He's been receiving a steady diet of breaking pitches and his hitting everything on the screws. Unlike in April, he is not pulling his head off of the ball and everything is going to the gaps. Chili Davis has made a big impact with him. I was sour on him to start the season, but I'm quickly warming up.
Well, well, well, it would seem that Yoenis has made the adjustment to ML pitching? Hmm, everyone or 95% of this forum thought that the pitchers would adjust to Yoenis and Yoenis would struggle. It seems that Yoenis is quietly becoming a beast, Yoenis has cut down on his K rate. If not for the injuries Yoenis would have more impressive stats but the 162 gme pace is damn impressive for a rookie, heck not for just a rookie, but for anybody. All hail Yoenis!!!

Sounds like Yoenis is talking about himself in the third person. Let's not forget that 9 days ago Yoenis had a .790 OPS and .267 BA. All hail 8 game hot streaks!

Yoenis is just showing you what a healthy Yoenis can do! Yoenis' numbers were down because he was playing through some injuries, not that he is healthy -----> Yahtzee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
