Interesting I guess. I would have thought a nice little vacation would do the opposite, then again I know zilch about the nature of sports injuries.

Nope, doesn't work that way. If/when he is shut down, he's done until next year.

and Cubs arent done

The Cubs agreed to trade Ryan Dempster to Atlanta earlier today, and they aren't done dealing yet. The Cubs and Dodgers are discussing a trade that would send Matt Garza to Los Angeles for a package of players including highly-regarded pitching prospect Zach Lee, Jim Bowden of ESPN.com and MLB Network reports (on Twitter).

Marlins trade Omar Infante and Anibal Sanchez to Detroit for top SP prospect Jacob Turner. Rumors are they're also shopping Josh Johnson, Carlos Lee, and Randy Choate. Let the annual Marlins fire-sale begin :-/

It makes sense to look at next season, but they're not making it easy to build/maintain a fanbase.

According to Scott Miller of CBSSports.com, rival executives who have spoken with the Marlins believe they've "never been more open to the idea" of trading Hanley Ramirez.

Hanley could be on the move. he could be play 3B for a new team, or even go back to SS.
