14 team league, deep roster perameters Fantasy Points Auction Keeper League. Players have 3 year contracts then become free agents, We start 2-Catchers 2-1B 2-2B 2-3B 2-SS 5-OF 1-DH 8-Pitchers weekly.......
I hate losing the major upside in Eric Hosmer for 2013, but he has had a terrible season....and is probably my best asset to deal to a rebuilding club.

I am currently in 1st place by 300FP, this pending deal would put me at my cap for starting salary, but it also gives me depth.

P - Z.Grienke $31 (1) (can keep for 2 more years at that salary, debate-able if I would keep him anyways, but I could really use the "ACE" in my rotation NOW as my auctioned "ACE" in Lester has been awful this season)
OF/DH - J.Willingham $1 (3) (free agent at seasons end, we need DH eligible players in our league, he fits the bill as I would move Butler to 1B)

1B - E.Hosmer $8 (2) (has one more season at that current value, Has been a depressing year for him, I expected more, and expect him to have a solid 2013, have to give something to get something)

Yeah, if you have a chance to contend, that's the point of these things anyway. You have to do what you have to do to win. It's what GMs in real life do. I would go for it.
