JK, but seriously, he's got the speed n power tools and he just hit his 2nd HR since coming back and in those 6 games, he's 9/19 (4 xbh) with 6 runs, 2 hrs, 6 rbis, 0 sbs... Now one thing I'm concerned about is that he wasn't even attempting to steal bases while rehabbing so I'm a bit worried about how that'll impact his value.... Another interesting point is that he was supposed to bat second in the order but Yost appears to prefer him in the middle of the order now around 4/5th. This may be a spike to his fantasy value in terms of run production but it also may lend credence to him not running as much, thus making it less potent to bat him second....
Nevertheless, Lorenzo Cain was on a lot of ppls sleeper lists thisyr n he appears to be back n hitting well, what ya guys think???
PS, I snagged em off the WW in a keeper n couldn't be happier so far

2 factors make this hard to answer, first is a very small sample size from Cain, which makes his longterm value hard to gauge. And secondly, ur teams needs would need to be considered since Revere will provide more speed numbers n Cain more power numbers.... all things considered, im an "upside" kinda guy n id take Cain, especially if he gets his legs back under him n starts running again

I more or less acquired Cain as a 'throw in' on one of the latest deals in my cash league. There is only a $2 price tag on the kid. If he has a decent 2nd half I might've stolen a solid keeper. There was a report yesterday however where he said that his legs are not 100% yet. He'll likely be given several days off over the next couple weeks.

Yeah i saw that too, its encouraging to know that hes playing well n not 100%. Once he starts running, he could def do some fantasy damage...
Im hoping i got a steal in my keeper too

Apr 20 Lorenzo Cain filled up the box score Saturday against the Red Sox by going 4-for-4 with a solo homer, two doubles, three runs scored and a stolen base.
Advice: The home run was his first of the season. Cain is now hitting .392 (20-for-51) through 14 games. Injuries limited him to just 61 games last season, but he could be primed for a breakout. ROTOWORLD.
I'm drinking the Kool-Aid and I'm happy to say that I own Lo-Cain on 3 of my 4 teams, most importantly I own him in my Keeper League!
He's been hitting well all season long, batting .340 before todays monster day, but he just got his 1st and 2nd Stolen Bases of the year yesterday and today, and he hit his 1st and only HR today. There hasn't been much buzz bc despite his BA, he wasn't really "doing much else". Obviously that's changed BIG time in the last 24 Hours! Guys got the tools to be a Stud!!

they were ranked right around one another and I've heard similar fantasy expectations for both but I think Lorenzo has More Power and Less Speed than Starling Marte... Marte bats leadoff for the Pirates so he has more SB ops, whereas Cain bats in an RBI spot for KC too so I think that also defends my above claim. If Cains a 20-20, Martes a 10-30.
