Trade Offer WHIR

Postby baegames » Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:29 pm

Emilio Bonifacio
(Homer Bailey)
(Bobby Parnell)

Trevor Plouffe
Brandon McCarthy
Trevor Cahill

He is only asking for Bonifacio, but that is who I will cut. My gut reaction is that I am giving up too much to go from Bonifacio to Plouffe in exchange for a small upgrade at pitching.

Yeah, this doesn't excite me. Bonifacio is going to tear up the bases and Plouffe, though a good story, probably isn't a vital get with McCarthy/Cahill. Bailey isn't even pitching that badly these days, and Parnell still has a job so you can try and flip him somewhere to get someone Cahill-like. I say no.

Not enough. Some of those guys are solid players but Bonifacio is a stud in the SB category and you can't trade him just for pieces.

Plouffe has to even out a bit, so I just don't see that as enough of an upgrade. I think I'd stand pat.
