Votto for Howard?

I currently have Votto and even after he was placed on the DL I was offered Ryan Howard for Votto. The guy requesting the trade is a die-hard Reds fan so I have a feeling he's being blinded by his love for his team. Am I right, or is Votto the better guy at 1st once he gets back?

First of all I am assuming this is a one year league because in a keeper there is no way this even makes it to the forums. Even in a one year league this is a terrible deal. Votto is one of the best 1B in the league and will be back in a few weeks. Howard is coming off a major injury that is notorious for killing people's careers and has shown basically nothing thus far. Reject this crap immediately.

Yeah this is an awful deal even with Votto hurt. You'd have to upgrade another position significantly to make a deal with Votto. He's probably top 20 overall, where Howard isn't close to that level right now and may never again be at that level.

I'd still stick with Votto. I have Howard on my team but still would love to have Votto with the injury and the instability of Howard's planning time moving forward.

That is a terrible trade. Votto is one of the best 1B in baseball right now and Howard will not match his numbers. Votto will be back in a few weeks and when he comes back you will be regretting you made this trade. Pass.
