I run a ESPN 5x5 league, plus OPS and QS, and I'm having a lineup dilemma. I have Lance Berkman and Jacoby Ellsbury off the DL and I have to drop 2 guys before Monday's lineup locks in. League format is 2 C, 1 1B, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 CI, 1 MI, 5 OF, 5 SP, 2 RP, 2 P(RP or SP), 2 bench and 8 DL slots. Here's my team:
SP: David Price, James Shields, Wandy Rodriguez , James McDonald, Chris Tillman
RP: Aroldis Chapman, Joel Hanrahan
P(SP or RP): Doug Fister, Wade Miley
C: Mike Napoli, JP Arencibia (drafted W Ramos)
1B: Edwin Encarnacion
2B: Howard Kendrick
3B: Aramis Ramirez
SS: Hanley Ramirez
MI: Aaron Hill (drafted Ricky Weeks)
CI: Brett Lawrie
OF: Michael Cuddyer, Martin Prado, Allen Craig, Carlos Lee, Alex Rios
BE: Tyler Clippard, Alfredo Aceves
DL: Ellsbury, Berkman, Andy Dirks, Shaun Marcum, Drew Storen, Jaime Garcia
Players I feel I can drop: Cuddyer, Prado, Craig, Lee, Rios, Fister, Miley, Tillman, Aceves, Clippard. Normally I like to keep my 2 bench spots with SP's for max starts, but Tillman and Miley or Tillman and Carlos Lee may be how I go. I'm in 1st in W's, K's and QS's, but I may want to start using the P's for RP to catch up on saves soon. I have Storen on my DL, so I may want to hold on to Clippard to see which way the Nats go. The whole Berkman-Craig soap opera has me concerned too. Don't want to hold on to Craig, only to have Berkman take his starts away, especially if I drop Lee, only to have someone else scoop him up right before he gels with that ridiculous Marlins front lineup. Really indecisive here and could use some opinions.
