Mets' top prospect Matt Harvey will start on Thursday against the Diamondbacks.
He'll take on Wade Miley in Arizona, the Mets announced Sunday. The 23-year-old right-hander has a 3.68 ERA and 112/48 K/BB ratio over 110 innings at the Triple-A level this season. The seventh overall pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Harvey is a power pitcher with top-of-the-rotation potential. The Mets' No. 2 prospect should be owned in all NL-only leagues.
It's official.

Looks sharp tonight. He leaves his fastball too high and doesn't really have the greatest control, but he has a nice repertoire. He is going to end up being a very good pitcher if Mets fans don't completely kill him after his inevitable mediocre start to his career.

Like who? All the top guys are in the system already. Taijuan Walker isn't, but he's not sniffing the majors this year. James Paxton, maybe, but he's not a better prospect than Harvey at this point. Christian Yelich, maybe. Oscar Taveras is another possibility.
Dan Staily and Mike Olt?
To be honest I think I prefer Straily over Harvey, hes dominated high lvls of the minors and scouting reports are backing this up. He has better k ability and pinpoint control over Harvey but doesnt come with his pedigree, anyone else prefer Straily for a pick up over Harvey or am I looking too much into Harvey's erratic command?

I'd prefer Straily in the long-run, but that was a very impressive debut by Harvey.

exactly...he was pulled after only 5.1 innings be cause he had poor command which resulted in 11 k's.
