Future Thinking--Upgrade/Stand Pat?--WHIR

I am in a 16 team standard 5x5 roto league that keeps 6 players from year to year. I inherited this team 4 years ago and have finished last or near last every year (last place last year). My keepers for this year were:

Jason Heyward OF
Adrian Gonzalez 1B
Mike Trout OF
Mat Latos SP
Madison Bumgarner SP
Stephen Strasburg SP

The trades I made this year were (I traded/I received):

Adrian Gonzalez /Joey Votto
Billy Butler /Carlos Zambrano
Mat Latos

Elvis Andrus /Troy Tulowitzki
Mike Moustakas
Max Scherzer

I am thinking that my keepers next year are going to be:

Joey Votto
Mike Trout
Troy Tulowitzki
Stephen Strasburg
Madison Bumgarner
Jason Kipnis or Jason Heyward

However, I am still targeting some other players, such as:

Andrew McCutchen
Ryan Braun
Giancarlo Stanton
Bryce Harper
Carlos Gonzalez
Justin Upton
Matt Cain
Clayton Kershaw

I can offer any of my keepers along with:

Lorenzo Cain
Jarrod Parker
Ryan Cook
Emilio Bonifacio
Carlos Zambrano
Jesus Montero

My questions are:

1. Did I make the right moves?
2. Is Jason Kipnis a must have keeper?
3. Is Jason Heyward a must have keeper?
4. What move do you make?

I feel like I can make one more blockbuster deal to really set next year into motion. Thank you for any advice that offer up and I am also willing to provide detailed responses on your own questions if you leave a link.

the only one i might trade would be tulo but you really wont get good value for him right now. You might have to hold tight with those keepers. Keep kipnis for sure. Cutch or Braun would be nice to target but likely too pricey. J. Upton is a nice person to target right now in keepers simply bc he is still really young and price is as low as its ever been. Doesnt really make that much sense for you unless it involves bumgarner and someone. good luck.

1. Yes you made great moves
2. Yes Kipnis is a must have keeper. 20HR and 40SB potential this year. weakest position in baseball. think of it this way he is already between a Cano and Kinsler value in his 2nd year. I would target him late 2nd early 3rd round in a draft with all players.
3. Heyward I am not as sold on. The potential obviously is there, but hasn't lived up to his full potential yet. I think it is between Heyward and Bumgartner for your last keeper.
4. I think I stay put. You will pay too much for Braun and Cuth. The only keeper trade which is interesting to me is Stanton. With the injury you might be able to get him at a discount.

I think all your moves were good ones...I, too, would keep Kipnis over Heyward, based on both overall value in production as well as position...I think I would try to move Tulo to someone who still highly values him, possibly for Stanton. I doubt you get McCutchen or Braun, but Tulo is more injury prone than Stanton is at this point, and I traded him in myleguae for Felix and Pence.

Thanks for the input guys! I agree with your statement about pursuing Stanton. I made a trade offer this morning for him. I'm not sure I can get him, but I offered Heyward, Bonifacio, J. Parker, and R. Cook. This guy is sitting hear the top of the league and needs help in the categories I am offering and Stanton is doing nothing but sitting on the bench until mid to late August. Here's hoping! If it does go through, who are my keepers between:

Votto
Kipnis
Trout
Stanton
Tulowitzki
Bumgarner
Strasburg

I only get to keep 6.
