Halladay for Dunn?

Pretty simple question today:

Trade my:

Roy Halladay

for his:

Adam Dunn


I find myself consistently losing HR and RBI every week - i feel like i could use the HR/RBI boost here. I've got Haren coming off the DL shortly as well. I find myself leaning toward doing this trade - anyone care to talk me off the ledge?

12-team, H2H, 6x6 league (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG., OPS. for hitters, and W, SV, K, Holds, ERA, WHIP for pitchers).

Keeper league, we keep 4:

DL - Jonathan Lucroy

SP - Cliff Lee, David Price, Yu Darvish, Adam Wainwright, Matt Garza, Roy Halladay
RP - Huston Street, Brett Myers, Steve Cishek
DL - Dan Haren


He'd likely start at 1B for me, Butler can occupy a Util spot for me.

yea i would do that trade

forget about last year....Dunn is a 40 hr guy....and looks like hes gonna be in the mid to upper 40s this year.

The phillies are going to be sellers b4 u know it, and who knows how thats going to effect them day in and day out come late august and sept.

plus u have haren coming back....I like this deal 4 u!

I would try to Trade Yu first (I feel his 1st half will be better than his 2nd half), or see if Garza/Haren/maybe Wainwright would interest him. Though you're losing in HR/RBI, I can't see trading one of the bonafide aces in baseball (for a guy who hits for power but with an awful average) helping you in the long haul.

I would do the trade. I don't think its a complete no brainer, but I would do it. The reason you do it is that you probably aren't keeping halladay at this point. And at this point, you probably cant trade him straight up for a better pure HR hitter. You have enough SP for this season that you will be more than fine. I like the deal for you. Do it. Help me please....

I wouldn't do this trade. Halladay will be fine. Dunn has power but his avg and everything kill it. I would rather stick with what you have or trade Darvish like the other person said but NOT Halladay
