My: Allen Craig, Giancarlo Stanton, Ryan Vogelsong
for
Roy Halladay, Matt Garza, Lance Berkman, Nelson Cruz
I have to accept this right? I'm currently sitting in 2nd place and feel this is the year I have to go for it. Would this trade greatly improve my team?
H2H, 10 team, 10 player keeper league, 11x11 standard categories
Halladay is an ace who is returning tomorrow. I think Garza regains his form in the 2nd half, Cruz is a hot-or-cold hitter in a loaded lineup and Berkman can offer some pop. You're giving up Craig who has been solid but may share PT with Berkman, Vogelsong who's been good but is no Halladay, and Stanton who has a bad knee.
I'm late to the party here. Yes, i'd accept. You're getting 2 guys fresh off injury, while shipping a guy who is hurt. It looks like you're using Kinsler at 2B spot instead of Craig, which is where most of Craig's value lies, so no loss there. You shore up your SP nicely here. Previous posters are very excited about this trade - i wouldn't say an absolute no-brainer, close to it, but yes, this is a deal that benefits you and rounds out the roster nicely. You'd have to drop 1 player (always a consideration in trade), but i'd easily drop Myers, who may not see a call-up until September.

Stupid veto.
Anyways, yeah still do it. Vogelsong is dominating right now, but Halladay is Halladay. Cruz is better than Craig, easily. And Garza isn't too shabby either. Stanton is worth losing to get this.
