Deep 14 team Fantasy Points Auction League, players have 3 year contracts we start 2 catchers weekly, I am in first place and trying to shore up my catching position. Right now Molina has the second most fantasy points in our format next to Carlos Ruiz, and the owner that owns him wouldn't mind dealing, but is requesting my Auction "Stash" guy in V-Mart. (I scored him for $8 at our auction at the beginning of the season, and am awaiting his return late this year, (which might not happen) and if he does return he might lose catcher eligibility for 2013, and only qualify as a DH. Which isn't to shabby for our league, cause we also start one DH slots (minimum 20 games req.) so I was going to protect V-Mart as part of my 12 keepers anyways. As he would be a nice DH keeper @ $8, for 2 more years.

C - Y.Molina $11 (2) (has one more year left at that salary)

HE GETS: (salary) (contract year)
C/DH - V.Martinez $8 (1) (has two more years left at that salary)
C - J.Flores $5 (1)

My current catchers for the 14 team league are
C - M.Montero $29 (1)
C - J.Flores $5 (1)
C - R.Barajas $1 (1)

Still feel this is a great deal as I can protect Molina for next year @ $11, and he should be a top 5 catcher again correct? not a flash in the pan here.

I would do it...you are going to lose your catchers anyway and Molina is good. Could help you win this year. I don't always play for future as I like to win now.

I guess its a good deal for you. Not too sure what the bracketed number means but you don't really have anything to lose if you do it, especially if you're playing for this year's win. And with Flores costing 5 bucks (for some reason), you'd be saving money (if that matters at all).

I love VMart, but no gaurantee he impacts your season this year and Molina has come into his own. I'd take it and save the dough too.

This is tough IMO. I'd hate to lose VMart, but he won't be anywhere near as valuable if he loses C eligibility. If you have a shot to win THIS year, go for it.
