Anyone have some insight into his massive decline? Is he injured? Trying to decide whether I should try to get something for him or just stick with him for the remainder of the year.
Thanks

I sold my shares of Konerko for David Price. I'm out.

His only extended slumps the last 3-4 years have come when he's played through injury, so it wouldn't surprise me if the wrist was bothering him more than we know, as he pretty much stopped hitting after he had it cleaned out.

I'm going to shop him around. Think I'll start with Rizzo. Thanks for the input. He was a big part of my offensive success in the first half and now he is just killing me. Him, Castro, and Swisher.

He was playing way over his head? He is a really good average hitter with low 30 HR power who will hurt you in R and SB. This hasn't changed at any point in the past few years.

Never said he was playing over his head. He was playing much better than he is now. If anything, he is currently underachieving, most likely due to the injury.

He is a .300 hitter with 30 HR power, 100ish RBI, 75 R and 1 SB. He is pretty darn close to on pace for those numbers.

Konerko has very bad knees. A lot of people avoided him bc of this. Be lucky he got through the first half with decent numbers. The stuff he goes through just to get out there is Crzy. It will only get worse as season goes on.
