Trout for Cargo and Dickey?

Would you take this trade if you had Trout? I'm a little caught up in the Trout hype machine (its deservedly earned) and obviously this GM is too. Trading Trout really hurts my SB's but my SP's have been my weak spot. I turned down Trout for Cargo straight up and he countered with this. Dickey has been unreal but I'm a little worried about his past resume still.

Looking at the last month, Trout is heads and shoulders above Cargo but he's been in a slump. Would you sell high on Trout?

In a redraft I would probably do the trade. Dickey's "past" is solid. We're not talking about 2006 Dickey. Since he's been a Met, he goes deep into most games and keeps runs and walks in control. Lots of quality starts. CarGo is a very good outfielder and will help offset the Trout loss.

If this is a keeper, stick with Trout. Dickey is 37 and Trout is nearly impossible to let go of in a keeper - he's that good.

I do this trade either way (keeper or not). You are getting a PROVEN stud in Cargo. I like Trout but i won't give up the farm to get him. Not sure Dickey is going to be the real deal next season, but not sure about Trout either. Cargo has earned his stripes though. DO IT.

You do this deal in a heartbeat. Trout has been fantastic but the odds are not in his favor that he keeps this up. You are getting a top 15 player for him plus a solid SP.

Thanks for the help guys. I was set with getting Dickey but threw out a last ditch effort at something else and got Cargo and Pence from him for Trout and made a trade with another GM with Dunn and E Jackson for Greinke.

So it ends up being:

All in all, I like it but we'll see how she plays out...
