I was offered Reddick for Kipnis. My instinct is to say no. Given the keep costs, I'd get to keep either for $10 next year if I wanted to. On the surface, Reddick might give me a bit more and help me make a push this season (I'm second in my division and so would make the playoffs this year if the season ended today, but would be the bottom seeded playoff team. Playoffs begin in August for us). However, I'm thinking that keeping Kipnis is smarter than keeping Reddick just simply based on positional availability next year (There's a lot more good outfielders than 2Bs out there). Of course, I could always keep neither in favor of some bigger names but the cost of keeping someone like Granderson is prohibitive ($33 keep)
Anyone have a different idea?
