Romo will split the Giants' closing duties with Jeremy Affeldt moving forward, Andrew Baggerly of CSN Bay Area reports.

I think I would still rather have Alfeldt, but this is important to know.

Cook gave up 2 more runs against last night but still managed to get the save. Expect Balfour to take his place very soon.

Huston Street in serious pain after getting the last out for his save.

He was running to cover the bag and pulled up lame..had to be helped off the field. Not sure how serious it is yet, because it just happened.

Saying Achilles, lots of speculation his season is done

Gregersen worked the 8th tonight and has been better but tough to 100% say it's him

note - I went Gregerson myself on teams I had roster space on (only own street in one) just because he has gotten the 8th inning call as of late but even then I wish I had more roster space to add thayer as well just to be safe

Street says "calf strain - has to be re-evaluated in the morning" better that the initial speculation... for now

Aaaaaaaand Axford blows ANOTHER save... to the ASTROS

Yes thayer got saves earlier when he was pitching well thats why I stress cant say 100% gregerson, thayer started playing worse though

I hope that's it...I can't lose another closer...I'll be left with the Mariners and Astros closers...which means 0 saves.

Henderson available in your league? Whatever rope Axford had left for another round with the job has to be on fire at least he just gave your boy Lopez the W
