I'm in a 10 team 5x5 keeper league currently sitting in 1st place. I'm worried about Sale getting shut down before fantasy playoffs and would like to get rid of him while his value is still high. So I'm proposing BJ Upton & Sale for C. Lee and Gallardo. Here is my roster below:
C- Weiters
1B- Votto
2B - Hill
3B- Miggy
SS - Desmond
OF - Holliday
OF - Bourn
OF - De Aza
Utl - Soriano
BN - M. Young
BN - BJ Upton
SP's - Bauer, McDonald, Kennedy, Cueto, Lincecum, Ubaldo, Wandy, Peavy, Sale, Beckett
RP's - Papelbon, Hanrahan, Broxton
I feel like I have a surplus of OF's so I'd like to get rid of one. I know Gallardo and Lee have both underperformed this year compared to what was expected but both are proven pitchers and I somewhat expect both to have a good 2nd half. I'm just not sure if I'm giving up too much at this point. Any opinions? Leave a link and I'll return the favor. Thanks.

You aren't giving up too much - that offer will prob be declined but its a decent starting point. Just because Lee and Gallardo have underperformed doesn't mean that they are going to be sold for pennies on the dollar. I don't think that BJ Upton has much value at all in a 10 team league. If you want to land Lee and Gallardo you will prob have to add someone better than Upton (or leave Upton in there but lower your asking price to Lee and a lesser SP). Sale for Lee might not be a bad move depending on your league's keeper settings - especially if you think Sale's innings will be severely limited.

I agree. Upton is way overrated. But Lee got hit again last night. This might be the start of his downward plung. Plus with all the trade talk going on in Philly he is probably troubled by it. But he's used to trade talk. I like Sale of all of them the most to continue to do well.
