14 Team League Auction Keeper league, Fantasy Points, We keep 12 keepers, players have 3 year contracts after 3rd year they become free agents. I am currently in 1st place @ the all star break with a 348FP lead. Its comfortable but I would like to shore a few things up before our trade deadline. Been offered the following trade.

C - C.Santana $15(3) (free agent @ seasons end, has been terrible so far this season, suffered a concussion about a month ago, but gives me a boast over Flores/Barajas as my catcher in a 2 start league)
OF - Adam.Jones $15(3) (free agent at seasons end, should equal Bourn's numbers and maybe more, has been a STUD first half)
P - M.Buehrle $5(1) (gives me a serviceable arm, down the stretch durable gets me starts and wins improvement on Blanton currently on my bench)

HE GETS:
C - J.Flores $5(1) (not really a keeper)
OF - M.Bourn $8(2) (has one more year left of keeper rights @ that $8 value, SOLID)
P - S.Marcum $2(1) (has 2 years left of keeper rights @ that salary, but is not to durable, and is currently on the DL, sure I lose his K potential when he returns but that is a big if)

Basically I am adding $20 in salary to my $305 max starting roster salary limit, gets me close to the top, and in the process I stabilize my Catcher(s) at the cost of keeper (Bourn) primarily.

Would you do the following deal, or stay status quo,

Thanks for your help on my question. This looks like like a good deal from your prospective. You get a catcher with a bright future, a top notch outfielder, and a solid arm. I see your only real loss being Bourn. So yeah, I would do this deal

I agree with The guy above. Losing Bourn is a bummer, but Adam Jones is too legit.

I 3rd that. Jones is a stud. And Santana is an upgrade. And Marcum is good, but too closr to Buehrle. So I would pull the trigger.

Just want everyone to know.....I CAN'T keep Santana and Jones they would be lost at seasons end. AND I would be losing keeper Bourn $8 and potential keeper Marcum $2.

DOES THIS IMPROVE MY TEAM DOWN THE STRETCH?

Since Bourn is the only one that would have been kept anyway, I say go for it to help yourself down the stretch.

I have to say good deal as well. I agree with what sigriffey said, and with Bourn, as he closes in on his 30s I am skeptical if his sudden power surge will carry on, which is important being a keeper. Trade definitely helps you for this season, and in the long run any losses I think are negated. Thanks for your help.
