Cabrera, Kipnis and Janssen for Phillips and Kimbrel

Postby wannasoda321 » Thu Jul 12, 2012 2:30 pm

So I am in a 12 person, points, H2H, currently in 2nd place.

Roster Positions C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 1 UTIL, 2 Bench, 8 SPs, 2 RPs

Scoring (didn’t feel like typing it out): http://i.imgur.com/AWk7K.png
My lineup: http://i.imgur.com/KNVr6.png
My staff: http://i.imgur.com/HDZh4.png

I would get: Brandon Phillips + Craig Kimbrel
He would get: Asdrubal Cabrera, Jason Kipnis and Casey Janssen,

Basically, I really would like kimbrel, the guy is a beast. Andrew bailey isn't coming back anytime soon, so that is not going to help me. In terms of the rest of the guys, I can't tell if it's worth it. I really like brandon phillips and I think hes gonna be great after a slow start. But what about the rest of my guys? Kipnis and Cabrera? Those guys are doing well... I would replace Cabrera with Jed Lowrie.

Would my team be better if I did this trade?

Let me know what you guys think. WHIR

I like your side of that deal. It is slightly better than what you are giving, so I say make the trade.

Basically the question is: Is this:

SS Asdrubal Cabrera
2B Jason Kipnis
RP Casey Janssen

better than this

SS Jed Lowrie
2B Brandon Phillips
RP Craig Kimbrel

You think so?

I'd say not. Kimbrel is an upgrade, but I'm not sure about Phillips. I don't see him doing considerably better in the second half. His numbers are pretty consistent with his career numbers and he's 31 years old. I think what Phillips has now is what he is going to get. I think Kipnis and Cabrera will help your team in the long run.
