Trying to figure this out.... Do you have Vogelsong or Eithier? I don't see either one of them on your roster. Vogelsong is a beast in your league without Wins counting, every start for him is a QS and his ERA and WHIP put him over the top. Eithier always trails off in the second half, so if you're getting Vogelsong, DO IT!

hey man thanks for the response!

I have ethier, so you think i should definitely do it? I figured since i just got melky (i traded gordon and shane vic for him HAHA) i could afford to get an upper tier pitcher in my format for ethier, and i also think he will tail off. Do you think Vogelsong will keep it up???? People have been scaring me away because they think he's getting lucky.

again, thanks so much!

Don't listen to "those" people about Vogelsong. He trailed off a little bit last year, but that's because he wasn't used to pitching that many innings. Unless you could package a deal with Eithier and Moore/Gallardo for a better pitcher, which then you would just be going for a name not what will help you win in your league with your settings, I think it's a good deal for you.

alright, i accepted that. While i have you here, would you trade Nick Markakis and one of my closers (hanrahan, janssen, cook, or houston street) for Dan Uggla, in the hopes that he explodes in the second half again?

Of those closers I would deal Street, injury risk and pitches for the Padres. Street could be traded to a contender, but even still, if I was getting Uggla for that I would take it. Then you could slide Cuddyer into the OF position, which I say Cuddyer will outperform Markakis anyway.

It's a tough call because your pitching is quite good and your offense looks a little sketchy. I think Ethier will be a solid citizen for the rest of the year.

The one thing about Vogelsong is that he picks up extra value being in a H2h league as he's absolutely dominant at home and mediocre on the road. You could wind up in the playoffs benching him when SF is on the road against a good offensive team. In short, he gives you added flexibility.
