CBSSports.com confirms Ben Sheets will make his regular-season debut Sunday against the Mets. The Braves are desperate for starting pitching with Randall Delgado and Mike Minor struggling. Sheets hasn't appeared in the majors since 2010, but was reportedly clocked in the 89-93 mph range in two minor league starts. A corresponding move will be announced later this week.
I think this is his last hurrah, and he knows it. Not only is it his last chance to prove himself MLB worthy for a significant contract next year, but an athlete like him must prove it to himself. I don't blame anyone in deep leagues for giving him a chance, but it is hard not group him in the likes of bedard, harden, webb etc who have potential but are always injured. However, Atlanta has been a pathway for success for other such cases. Thoughts?
I've had Sheets stashed in my 6 teamer all year long hoping he'd make it back..definitely a must-start this Sunday, especially in H2H
I'd say a reasonable expectation would be sub 3.5 with 7.5 k/9 obviously with some room to beat that..the best thing about this situation is there is no downside risk barring another injury
Why don't they just get a house that's already painted?

Deep mixed (like, 15 teams or more deep) and NL-only. A below-average option overall ... until he proves otherwise, and proves it over at least three quality starts.
Not overly optimistic about how he'll do. I could see him being the Braves' version of the Mets' Chris Young, but that might be going too far.

Obviously NL only, but deep mixed leagues where there are at least 80+ SP on active rosters. This is because you can figure at least another 25 SP pitchers on benches. So you really can't say 12 team, 14 team or 16 team because league rosters vary from league to league.
I actually think he is going to be very serviceable for a short time span. Probably until September rolls around, but by then there will be other options.
Best case you get a Bartolo Colon clone. I just don't see him being fantasy worthy. I like him though and hope he sticks.
