Second Half SP's (Sleepers)

Postby CMan0928 » Tue Jul 10, 2012 12:03 am

Who do you guys think will excel in the second half? It can be a rookie, new addition to a rotation, veteran, whoever. I'm looking for names that are most likely on most waiver wires right now.

really depends on what size leaue you are talking abot and if your league uses middles and corners. I'd think Will Myers would be owned even in the small leagues but I'm amazed by some posts FA lists. Any Oak SP pitching at home including Brett Anderson who is probly avail in alot of deeper formats. Starling Marte

Some good names there. But I was mostly looking for Starting Pitchers. Anderson is a favorite of mine, but with his current timetable we may not see him pitch in Oakland until mid August at the very earliest. And I'd say that's being optimistic. He still has to prep in Arizona and get a few rehab starts under his belt. I can't wait on him. Any other names?

Justin Masterson CLE (he's trending upward)
Jhoulys Chacin COL (been injured)
Jeff Karstens PIT (he was their best pitcher last yr)
Ervin Santana LAA (poor 1st half should rebound strongly)
Doug Fister DET
Jair Jurrgens ATL
Luke Hochevar KC
