Bruce for Greinke?

Postby silverZ » Mon Jul 09, 2012 10:13 am

I'm looking to move a hitter for pitching so I offered this deal. League is 7x7 roto with BB/OPS and HR/L. I'm dead last in HR against right now, Getting a boatload of quality innings from Greinke would help alot. I think I have the OF depth to take the hit of losing Bruce. Swisher gets a boost in value with these settings.

C: Rosario
1B: Mcab
2B: Kelly Johnson
3B: Bautista
SS: Escobar
CI: Arod
MI: Beckham
OF: McCutchen, Bruce, Gordon, Rasmus
U: Rios
Bench: Swisher, Rajai Davis

SP: Sale, Latos, Garza, Moore, Fiers, Parker, Liriano, Morales
RP: Betancourt, Broxton, Parnell, Benoit
DL: Santos, Cashner

Thoughts?
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!

Thanks for the help. I would hold on to Bruce..I get what you are saying about you have some depth to trade, but I would try to deal Rasmus while his value is high because I just don't trust him.

Agree that you need to hold onto Bruce. Moving Rasmus might be the way to go, or perhaps one of your closers.

Txs for the help with my post.....

I agree with the others here....I would hold onto Bruce and would try to move Rasmus or Gordon or even Rios/Swisher before Bruce but I would start with Gordon 1st and then Rasmus next and see what you can land instead. Bruce is a beast when he is hitting and he should have a nice 2nd half.

I disagree with the others on Rasmus though....I feel he will have a nice 2nd half like his 1st half but with him hitting so well right now I think you could land a real nice arm for him. I say try trading Gordon 1st since I have him in a league and his avg has gone up (I think) since he is a hitting machine right now but the long ball is just not there as well as some RBI's/Runs since KC Offense is just plain horrible....

So try trading Gordon 1st and then Rasmus 2nd or you can reverse the 2 (either way I think you could land a nice SP with either of them)

Good Luck m8!
