So if it were Votto for Trout that would be hard for me to pull the trigger but I most likely would.. as for the addition of Ruiz, made this trade what it is.. A sell high as you can on trout becuase someone in your league will over pay for him..

Because Ruiz is so far over his career numbers this year at age 33, he's bound to come back to earth the rest of the year. Particulaly since Chooch is leading the league in games played at C with 74 (tied with Yadier). He's getting run into the ground and if his numbers start plummeting, that isn't an upgrade on McCann.

So you think he will slow down but a 20 year old Trout won't?? Plus Votto is Votto, he is young and extremely talented like Trout, I will not take anything away from what trout he is a stud.. but in a single year fantasy team I am taking the production of and Votto, Ruiz over the potential of Trout.. and he has pieces to get Sb's..

I'd rather have the upside of Trout, who is less likely to slow down than a 33 year old catcher on pace for career high in games caught that's playing 40% better than any other year in his career.
I'll bet that McCann beats Ruiz in OPS the second half of the year.
He also has Grandal on his roster, so who needs 3 catchers on their team?

If it's not a keeper league do it, in a heartbeat. See if you can get something for McCann like you said, a speed guy perhaps because of his name alone.
Votto is a beast, and even in a keeper league. Ruiz is a top ranked catcher, and i would start him every day over McCann.
Keeper league (Consider it).
Non-Keeper. Do it.
Help in mine!
