With Pedroia hurting, should I deal Carl Crawford for Chase Utley? Murphy may not play every day...

Nope. I do not trust Utley 1 bit. Crawford isn't likely to be a top option either with his elbow bothering him, but it's a good thing that a lot of his value is in his legs. Murphy has been on fire and will continue to see time. I would rather play him than Utley anyway.

No kidding ... I was in first and now am in third ... it's been a steady slide since Memorial Day with the injuries and guys like Hanley and Stanton disappearing offensively.
Anyone I should target? The guy initially offered me Reddick and McCann for my Jesus Montero and Crawford but I passed because it felt like a buy high on Reddick.
Value-wise, I liked that deal for you. I'm not a fan of Reddick either, but MCann more than makes up for it. If you can sustain losing Crawford's speed (It's not like he's given you anything to date) it's a good move.
Does Craig have 2B eligibility? Seriously though, I wouldn't go overboard. Murphy is more than capable of holding down the fort at 2B until Pedroia comes back. He's said to only be missing the 15 days and the ASB is right in the middle of all of that. It won't hurt you that bad.

Yeah, I'm not gonna go crazy.
What kills me right now is that S.Perez, Murphy and Stanton are all X's in my lineup tonight, and given Montero is not playing and is my only active bench hitter, I have nobody to sub in. So I am caught between trying to move Montero with someone in a package for a catcher upgrade vs. just saying screw it and dropping Montero for an OF bat in the short term. I suspect Perez, Stanton and Murphy are all in there tomorrow.
Dare I offer him Crawford and Montero for McCann and Motte?
