Pick up Niese? Not sure who to drop...[Always WHIR]

Postby TruYankeeFan » Fri Jul 06, 2012 5:05 pm

Hey guys....been a few weeks since I posted here.

Been trying to make some trades...but it is very hard when half your league has not shown up since week 2 or earlier. Did not figure out it was this bad until the season was already 40% over...so figured I would play out the year then next year I am taking over the league (the commish is one of the 6 no shows...pathetic right?)

Anyway...I want to pick up Niese as he seems to finally be putting it all together...but I cannot decide who to drop.

C-Ruiz
1B-Prince
2B-Altuve
SS-Jeter
3B-Arod
OF-Reddick
OF-Melky Cabrera
OF-B Harper
UT-Cespedes
BN-Napoli, A Craig, Gardner(DL)

SP-Kershaw, Hamels, J McDonald, Shields, Harrison, Dempster, Hughes, Fiers

RP -Chapman, Axford, Wilhelmsen

At first I was just going to stream Fiers and one or two others and pick Niese up for Sunday and beyond but Fiers #s are pretty solid and he will def be the starter for a while.

Should I drop Fiers? Someone else? Should I keep as is?

Thanks...leave a link will hit you back! ;-D
Just finished draft...how did I do?

I do not see anyone you can drop for Niese... the only possible person is Fiers but he has been too good to drop.

Lateral move, IMO. Id hang on to Fiers for now, but be quick to pounce at the first sign of struggle.

I would probably drop Hughes. Hughes has been ok but the amount of HR he has given up really worries me.
