Adam Wainwright Deal

Postby heathweston » Fri Jul 06, 2012 9:30 am

In my 10 team H2H Keeper League (6x6) I was just offered:

I Get: Adam Wainwright
I Give: Desmond Jennings/Huston Street

Been thinking I should ask for a second, though not 100%. Is this at all fair and should I jump on it?

Here's the team:

C Posey
1B Votto
2B Altuve
3B Lawrie
SS Castro
OF C. Gonzalez
OF Trout
OF Stanton
Util Zimmerman
Util Reddick
Bench Jennings
Bench Weeks
DL Crawford

SP Lincecum, Lester, Moore, Capuano, Garza, A. Sanchez, C. Richard
RP Jim Johnson, Perez, Rodney, Casilla, Street, Wilhelmsen
DL Capps, Marcum

I am fine with the deal but if you can get another player than go for it. I think this is a great time to buy low on Wainwright and possibly a solid keeper option.

I'd do it. I Like buying fairly low on Wainwright. He should be a stud in the second half.

please help

I tend to agree with everyone else here. You know Wainwright is an ace. He's struggling to come back from Tommy John but he'll regain his form and his upside is fantastic.

While I would try to get another player, you aren't losing much in regards to Jennings or Street.

Yea I say take it because your OF is legit without Jennings and since Lincecum is terrible Wainwright is huge for you.

Yes in light of your solid OF options (well, great options that is), and the need for more high end pitching depth.

In H2H ... I'll take the Wainwright side. Street is a likely trade candidate. I would fight for another player in return though.

I took the deal. I didn't try and get another because, after looking at his team, I could probably get players off the wire comparable to his.

Thanks to all for the input.
