Do This Crawford-McCann Deal? WHIR

Postby sigriffey » Thu Jul 05, 2012 10:45 pm

So My team currently has 6 on the DL plus will soon receive Ethier in a trade who is now on the DL ... (I couldn't resist the opportunity to get him for the price of Anibal Sanchez). So that's 7 on the DL with only 4 DL slots...

So I am really banged up. In light of this, do this deal proposed to me or pass on it? The real rub is that I'm having a really hard time letting Crawford go in light of my wait for him and insane SB deficit. I currently have Salvador Perez at catcher because Montero has a mild concussion.

Give: Jesus Montero and Carl Crawford
Receive: Brian McCann and Josh Reddick

Hmmm...Idk man.

Montero could take a trip to AAA here soon. He won't be there long but still. McCann could be a nice buy-low. Montero's the better option in a dynasty league...otherwise, I think I'd rather have McCann.

The OF swap tho...not sure. Is CC "done" or is he going to be able to get back to his TB days? Hard to say. Reddick's a decent OF and will likely give you as much, if not more, than Crawford at this point. Really hard to say...I'm not loving either really.

But, you do have great OF depth so, what the heck. The McCann portion probably makes sense at this point.

Can you get someone a little more proven than Reddick in return? I think all of us are waiting for him to fall on his face. He's the deal breaker for me - its the ultimate buyhigh.
