My Rizzo/Infante/Friese/Cook for his Holiday/Vogelsong/Kimbl

Postby garretterik » Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:29 pm

Cubs fan wants Rizzo from me. I want to sell high on Friese and Cook (don't think they will have as strong second halves. Friese playing way over his pay grade and Cook walks too many for a closer). I also want to get rid of Infante.

Do you think he accepts this trade:
Rizzo/Friese/Cook/Infante for Holiday/Vogelsong/Kimbral? I need arms (especially help with WHIP and ERA)

Another offer I should make first? Is this starting too high?

I think there is no chance on that deal. Freese is Ok bit not high tier. Cook and Infante are marginal. Rizzo is unproven. In return you are asking for Holiday and Kimbrel?...nice if you can get it, but I doubt.

Try offering HRam, Sandoval and Rizzo for Trout, Granderson and whatever scrub SS (Cozart, Scutaro, Aviles, Bonificio he wants to give you\you can get). HRam is not the stud he used to be. Sandoval is decent but you can live without him with Middlebrooks and Freese around. Granderson is a big time OF bat and Trout is MVP material so far. He probably rejects this as well, but it is worth a shot as it does solve his SS and 3b weakness at the expense of his depth at OF. You basically only suffer at SS while Tulo is out. After that, you upgrade Sandoval and Rizzo to Trout and Granderson.

If he wants Rizzo have him make the first offer. Let him know who you like. He'll attempt to low ball you. Haggle in some of your 'sell high' guys. See where it goes from there.
