Can I land Allen Craig?

I'm in a 16-team 6x6 H2H keeper league (6 keepers). My team has been wavering for the past 4-6 weeks, but I've managed to stay in the playoff hunt (currently in 5th). However, I want to make some All-Star Break deals to add some versatility and depth to my roster.

I'm looking at Allen Craig right now because he's eligible at 1B/2B/LF/CF/RF, and his owner has moved into sell-mode for this season (looking for SP preferably). I view Craig as another 2B-eligible player who would help in case Pedroia's injuries continue to linger, and having a solid play at all 3 OF positions would be huge.

A couple notes about my history with the owner... I've already acquired Brett Lawrie from him in an off-season trade this year. Plus, I'm eyeing a Hanley-for-Tulo trade with him this off season since I already have Lawrie at 3B and want to try maintain a high-level keeper SS going into next season. But being in a playoff race right now and with Tulo being inujurd I don't know if this would be the time to try to add this piece to the puzzle.

I like you adding Allen Craig...it all depends on what you have to give. The problem with dealing with someone who is giving up on the season is they don't want any part time players. They usually want players so they can plan for the next season...they want keepers.
Without knowing how many keepers are in this league, you'll have to look at his roster and see who his keepers would be and how many he'd have after the trade.

Of course, if by chance you can sell him on part time players...then do it. I like Allen rain more than I do Rizzo.

Now, not knowing the ins and outs of your keeper league, a guy that sticks out to me to try and move for craig would be Ervin Santana. I don't know if this guy wants young guys to stash away, but Santana might be a starting point for this trade.

Sorry, I should've metnioned that this owner dropped Ervin Santana a few weeks ago and has no interest in adding him back to his roster.

First of all, if you can move Hanley for Tulo, you most certainly should do that.

As for Craig, I don't know what exactly is the right move. Shields, Garza and Cueto are too much, Bailey is probably not enough. I might try Cueto for Craig straight up.

Cueto is an optin. So is Rizzo if u were fine with Morales at first
