KEEPER - Crawford for Hill/Laroche/Santos

Postby xtremeschemes » Wed Jul 04, 2012 6:44 am

Currently last place in my keeper league, more or less out of contention this season. I have Carl Crawford stashed on my DL, but am concerned for his health obviously. This offer just came to me now. Laroche missed most of last season, but over the past few years has been a very productive player, and Hill is on a whole other level right now.

How say you?

I assume no restrictions since it wasn't mentioned and how many keepers?

If so, Crawford's injuries are troubling and make it way too probable that he'll never be the same guy but as a last place team in a keeper, you MUST swing for the fences when making deals. Santos and LaRoche are not difference makers for you, Hill is having a great year, I like him alot in AZ, but getting him won't push you out of the cellar like a healthy Crawford can.

I agree with Polo. If you are building for the future, then you generally take more risks. Crawford is a good risk to take. The injury is a concern but he still has top 25 upside.

Yup. It's also a good time to take some of your overachievers or aging vets and package them together for someone like a Kipnis, Lawrie or Hosmer.
