Salary Keeper League. Need to release or trade a player with Ellsbury coming back soon to get under the $260 mark. Is now the time to max out on trade value for Harper? With Ellsbury back in the lineup, Harper will not be in my starting lineup. We start 3 OFs. I'll start Hamilton, Ellsbury, and Trout. Player salaries increase $3 every year.
Should I trade Harper ($11), Goldschmidt ($15), and Shields ($9) for Strasburg ($15) and Tulowitzki ($15)? I can put Tulo on the DL and his cost will not count against my salary.
Buster Posey (C, 1B) - $7 Jesus Montero (C) - $5 Albert Pujols (1B) - $50 Eric Hosmer (1B) - $4 Jason Kipnis (2B) - $3 Brett Lawrie (3B) - $4 Hanley Ramirez (SS, 3B) - $33 Mike Trout (LF, CF, RF) - $4 Josh Hamilton (LF, CF) - $21 Bryce Harper (LF, CF, RF) - $11 Jason Heyward (RF) - $7 Jacoby Ellsbury - DL - (CF) - $20
Tim Lincecum - SP - $37 CJ Wilson - SP - $4 Jake Peavy - SP - $1 Jarrod Parker - SP - $1 Andy Pettitte - SP - $1 James Shields - SP - $9 Max Scherzer - SP - $8 Roy Oswalt - SP - $4 Trevor Bauer - SP - $10 Shelby Miller - SP - $1 Rafael Betancourt - RP - $6 Addison Reid - RP - $1 Rafael Soriano - RP - $6

Since you're getting the two best players in the deal in a keeper league (even if Tulo is hurt), I'd do the deal if you can get the other owner to do it.
