Teams in my fantasy league have begun showing interest in Jose Quintana. I certainly have a few roster weaknesses to address (perhaps via trade). Is anyone familiar enough with Quintana to let me know whether he's a keeper or trade bait? Any suggestions would be GREAT.. And just in case it helps, here's my roster: (H2H points league)
(C) Yadier Molina (1B) Freddie Freeman (2B) Allen Craig (3B) Adrian Beltre (SS) Asdrubal Cabrera (OF) Jay Bruce (OF) Giancarlo Stanton (OF) Mike Trout (Util) Trevor Plouffe (Util) Desmond Jennings (BN) Michael Young
(SP) Justin Verlander (SP) Zack Greinke (SP) Jake Peavy (P) Ian Kennedy (P) Hiroki Kuroda (P) Tim Hudson (P) Matt Moore (RP) Joe Nathan (BN) Trevor Bauer (BN) Jose Quintana (BN) Michael Fiers (DL) Clay Buchholz (DL) Shaun Marcum
I don't know how many you keep in this league, but you have at least 7 SPs I'd keep ahead of him, as well as a slew of bats, so I'd think that if you can get a piece that's usable/borderline keepable that you'd go ahead and do it. What kind of offers have you been getting so far?
So far, the only trade I've considered looking at is:
I get: (2B) Dustin Pedroia
I give: (1B, 2B, OF) Allen Craig (1B, 2B, 3B) Michael Young (SP, RP) Jose Quintana
Trying to look at a possible counter-offer though, 'cause I don't want to be left with no backup 1B... especially since I consider Freddie Freeman one of my weaknesses.
