HOW GOOD IS THIS ROTATION?????

Postby bronxxbomber » Sat Apr 03, 2004 4:20 pm

1. Hudson

2. Oswalt

3. C Zambrano

4. Leiter

5. Loshe

and my bullpen goes like this:

Cl. F Cordero
Cl. Koch
RP. Herges
RP. Marte
RP. Ayala

How good is this pitching. Please keep in mind that this is from a 14 team league. Is this staff capable of taking me to the top?

Hmm...your starters are not top notch but definitely above average for a 14 team league.

Your Bullpen is good. I might change Ayala going into the season b/c Ayala doesn't give me enough K's for my liking.

I'd ditch Lohse and try trade Hudson away for say...Vazquez (he was drafted before Vaz in my league)

With Vaz, Oswalt, Zambrano you're in at least top 3 for pitching in your average 14-team league.

ur pitching is ok, i like hudson, oswalt, zambrano, . Not too high on leiter since he got nailed in the head by a line drive today. That bullpen, wow needs some serious work. You dont have a single dominant closer, besides maybe cordero. Koch isnt the same player, marte doesnt have the job yet, neither does ayala. Herges, for right now has the job. He'll probably keep it. I like herges, just not sure how many opps he'll get when Nen is back.

I actually took hudson before vazquez. I think it's good to get a guy who consistently post really good ratios. I also hate going with pitchers coming from NL to AL for the first season (except schilling of course). I like going with guys who have a good Quality Start ratio and both are pretty wicked at doing that. Loshe is my 5th guy and intend to ONLY play him for good matchups (Cleveland and Detroit for example).

Any ideas on people to grab because there's really nothing out there because in my league people took flyers on practically anyone good.

these could be bad ideas but you could think about a victor zambrano, john lackey type. Zambrabo pitched well in his first start, but has to keep the walks down and i actually like lackey for this season if he can stay in the rotation.

Forget the man crush. I drop what I'm doing to watch Zack Greinke pitch.
