Give Gio Gonzalez for Hosmer in H2H Keeper??

In my 20 team H2H keeper league, I've been talking to the Eric Hosmer owner in my league for a few weeks now and we've exchanged some offers but not really gotten close to a deal. I like Hosmer as a "buy-low" guy who could bounce back in the 2nd half and start to fulfill the promise that he seems to hold (the guy was compared to Joey Votto and Adrian Gonzalez when he was coming up). The Hosmer owner still views him as being pretty valuable and that has made a deal pretty tough. He proposed Hosmer for my Cole Hamels less than 2 weeks and I turned him down flat, as I don't view that as a fair deal, even in a keeper. I wouldn't have given him Hamels for Hosmer back in March, much less after watching Hosmer struggle for 3 months. After a week with no offers, he's come back and offered Hosmer for Gio Gonzalez. I don't like Gio as much as Hamels, though he has been very good this year. If the season ended today, I probably would have to keep Gio, though my preference is to flip Gio for a good quality keeper-worthy bat. I tend to think Gio is too much for Hosmer at this point, though I could easily regret this in a month's time if Hosmer suddenly gets hot.

What do you guys think? Should I roll the dice and give up my #2 starter for a struggling-but-talented bat? I really would like Hosmer but the owner is playing hardball a bit when it comes to putting together a fair deal. I've been shopping around for bats in my league and I can tell you that it has been difficult. Obviously, owners value bats over pitchers and it has been tough to get a good quality hitter even for a very good starter like Gio.

As an FYI, scoring in my league counts AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS and Assists for positional players and W, ERA, WHIP, K, CG, SV and Holds for pitchers.

I do not think you have the depth at SP to trade Gio for a risky player in Hosmer. I would still look to trade Gio but for a less riskier bat.
help me please?
