WHIR Get: Nelson Cruz OR Alex Gordon, Send: Ryan Howard

What do you think of getting Cruz or Gordon for Howard? I have Ellsbury on the DL, and he'll take Kirk's spot, but I can also play Craig and Morneau and Carlos Santana at 1B/3B.

So that leaves the decision of Cruz or Gordon. Upside of Gordon going forward (I'm in a dynasty league), or production now out of Cruz?

Why not keep Howard? I would think strictly for next year he has more potential than either of them. This would be selling low on him and hoping that Cruz can stay healthy or that Gordon finally lives up to his potential 7 years later (I know he was good last year but only 5 HR so far...)

Cruz is a good deal for Howard who has some pop and speed potential the rest of the way (15 homers 10-15 SB) not too shabby.
Pass on Alex Gordon.
