Better addition right now...Kuroda or Latos?? WHIR always

Postby BiGAnT » Sun Jul 01, 2012 11:18 am

I'm thinking about dropping either Lance Lynn or Shaun Marcum for one of these two pitchers: Kuroda or Latos.

Should I do this, and if so, which one will be more consistent over the course of the season?? (I like Latos because of the weaker division, but Kuroda has seemed to be more consistent over the course of the season - owners got impatient and dropped both of them a while ago).

Here's a look at my team:

C A.J. Pierzynski
1B Allen Craig
2B Howie Kendrick
3B Pablo Sandoval
SS Jimmy Rollins
OF Justin Upton
OF Shin-Soo Choo
OF Austin Jackson
Util David Wright
BN Eric Hosmer
BN Carlos Quentin
DL Jacoby Ellsbury

SP Zack Greinke
SP Johnny Cueto
SP Tim Lincecum
RP Santiago Casilla
RP Casey Janssen
RP Tyler Clippard
P Yu Darvish
P James McDonald
P Matt Moore
P Lance Lynn
DL Shaun Marcum

Is your league Roto or H2H? For H2H I try to have as few bench hitters as possible so honestly I would drop Quentin instead. However, that isn't exactly what you asked soooo....I would definitely drop Lynn for one of them...(and I'm a Cardinal fan, lol). Latos seems like he's finally starting to turn it around...let's view him as the high-risk, high-reward candidate. Kuroda's just as good though, and has a slightly better offense behind him. Honestly, between the two, I would pick Latos. But it's really a toss-up right now.

Help on mine would be much appreciated.

12 Team H2H, and I actually thought about that too (dropping Quentin), especially since I'll be getting Ellsbury back in the next couple weeks, but we have a 9 game limit per week for our SPs and I usually hit either 8 or 9 every week, so I could do either one and it would be OK. But either way thanks for your input, much appreciated! ;-D

I think it is a toss up between the two... both have tough home ball parks to pitch in but I like Latos better too and that is cause of the weaker division... But it is a toss up between the two and I do not think you could go wrong with either. I would rather have Latos over Lynn and like the other people said earlier Quentin could be dropped for either too if you want the pitching bad enough.
