so apparently Carlos Lee wont waive his no trade clause to go to the Dodgers.
ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Carlos Lee "won't agree to [a] deal" that sends him to the Dodgers. Lee hasn't changed his mind after mulling the opportunity over the weekend, apparently. He was in the Astros' lineup Sunday, a good early indicator that he wasn't prepared to leave Texas. An official announcement is expected Sunday night.
Lee is a free agent after the season. if he really enjoyed playing in Houston then he is likely sign with the Astros after this season right? the best thing he could do is agree to a trade and play for a contender for the rest of this season that is now 3 months remaining, then he could sign back with Houston in the offseason and the Astros would have Lee again PLUS the prospects they traded for.

They were talking about this as they dipped into the end of the Astros game on MLB Network, and the announcers were sort of split on the decision. On one hand, you sort of get miffed when a guy won't accept a trade to a contending team, because that's, in theory, what you're playing for, etc. But you've also got to consider whatever family dynamic Lee has going on, so on and so forth. Maybe he doesn't want to have to go play in LA for 3 months, and pick up and leave. And really, it's a part of his contract that he doesn't have to if he doesn't want to, so it's tough to get angry at him for enforcing a clause that's put into his contract and signed by both parties.
I honestly hope he doesn't waive his clause, so that maybe Willingham will be shipped to LA and can maybe continue the season he's having with a healthy Kemp and Ethier...

bahahahahahaha. awesome.
He looked like he was being controlled by a 7 year old in MLB 2K12 who had just picked up a controller for the first time. It was so so strange. From the weird wandering to the jump. So puzzling.

the way he was going back on it seemed like he had it easy, then i got excited when he had to jump, then the ball disappeared and i thought he caught it, then i saw it drop on the warning track and went nuts. that was just baaaaad.

I am also hoping for Willingham in LA. he makes much more sense.
