Okay, I play in a 10-team mixed, roto league, standard 5X5 league... It is a keeper league, you can keep as many as you want and can keep guys for 3 years (the year you draft them and then two more)... If you keep a guy, you have to keep them two rounds earlier than the year before... (So, if you draft a guy in the 25th round, they are eligible to be kept in the 23rd round the next year and then the 21st the next year and then you can no longer keep them...) This is all germane to this trade because it is starting to get to be that time of year when people start deciding if they're buyers or sellers and whether they are gonna play for this year or start looking to stockpile keepers for next year... I am in second and the guy I am trying to trade with is in last... I am very much playing for this year, as I pretty much always do... I am doing great in Runs, SB's, BA, W's, Saves, ERA, and WHIP... Okay in K's... Basically I need HR's and RBI's... So, I am looking at Bautista or Votto... Here is the deal I threw out there:
I give:
Brett Lawrie (can be kept in 9th)
Johnny Cueto (can be kept in 13th)
12th round pick
I get:
Jose Bautista (can't be kept)
22nd round pick
My roster is:
Yadier Molina
Sandoval
Ackley
Wright
Plouffe
Lawrie
Jeter
Willingham
Rasmus
Alex Gordon
Fowler
Justin Upton
Espinosa
Furcal
Neil Walker
Kemp
Bonifacio
Verlander
James McDonald
Cueto
Trevor Bauer
Niese
Hughes
Cahill
Morrow
Lilly
Papelbon
Rodney
Casey Janssen
Parnell
Glenn Perkins
Storen
Am I getting enough? Giving up enough? What if he says no, do i offer something similar for Votto? Any other ideas? Also, I have my eye on Pujols, the guy who has him is in 9th and is also in sell mode... I offered Lawrie and Trevor Cahill (can be kept in the 25th round) for Pujols (can't be kept)... Thoughts? Thanks! Post a link and I will help, in return!
