Cliff Lee + Kendrick for Adrian Gonzalez

Postby angelsfan555 » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:32 am

10 team 8x8 Yahoo H2H league. 8 hitting categories (H, R, RBI, HR, SB, K, AVG, OPS) 8 pitching categories (W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, QS)

Here's my roster: http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u431/pskrumbis/Picture10.png

I offered him Cliff Lee and Morales for Teixeira but he's a yankee fan and counter offered with Cliff Lee and Howie Kendrick for Adrian Gozalez.

Not sure if Gonzalez will pull it together. Only 6 homers through June is disconcerting. Losing Kendrick and Lee is a little more than I was hoping to give up but with Lee winless not sure if i can get better value.

Thoughts? Will help you out if you have questions too.

I just don't know about Gonzo. I know he has been heating up a tad lately. But where is the power this year? This is a high risk reward trade. Kendrick is service at 1B (putting up better numbers than Gonzo right now). He will be solid. Lee has had some bad luck isn't as dominant as he usually is, but still is a top tier pitcher. Pitching is your strength, but so is power. This is a high risk reward trade. If Gonzo rebounds to usual form you did pretty well. But if he stays on 2012 pace you downgrade at 1B and lose a power arm. I think I would hold out .... for now.

Thanks for the help with mine. I would pull the trigger on this trade. Even if Gonzalez has started out really slow, he still is an upgrade over Kendrick.

Thanks, I do have plenty of 1b. The other thing in my mind is when ellsbury and crawford come back, that could give gonzalez a better chance of succeeding. Also losing youk might really help Boston figure it out. If I could sub a lesser pitcher, say Wandy Rodriguez, Johan Santana or even Josh Johnson, does this become more feasible. I'd rather not give up Johnson, but I'd rather part with him than Lee i think.

Also your link didn't work. repost it and i can advise.

I want to counter offer and replace cliff lee with johan and maybe add wandy rodriguez if he's not sold on just johan. I know johan has been doing better statistically this year, but isn't it safer to give him up rather than shipping lee. If he refuses I also thought about counter offering the trade he proposed to me but adding his lincecum for my Wandy.

Thoughts? Will help post your links.
