Your pitching is already really solid, but you are also overloaded with corner infielders, so yeah I think I'd do it. Considering you were going to drop AdA anyway, you might as well snag Peavy and pray for 3 more healthy months. Might want to try to package some of that CI depth and an OF for upgrades at either SS or that Willingham OF spot - lots of value on the bench, I have to think there's some deals out there for you to upgrade your starting group as much as possible. Hope this helps ;-D

Peavy is a huge injury risk. Middlebrooks' middle name is "Upside," and De Aza has been valuable ... I think you'd be giving up too much, frankly.

While i also agree that you're giving up too much, i think it's not bad - bench players that aren't doing much for you and won't crack the lineup for a guy that can go every 5th day. I think it'd pull the trigger, but ultimately up to you - do you like the hitting depth, or do you want one more starter?

Help out?

I like having more bench SP as opposed to hitters. You're taking a risk, but I'd probably do it.
