Trade Cain for Kershaw

Postby JaysFan » Sun Jun 24, 2012 10:07 am

I have Cain and have been offered Kershaw straight up.

We count W, L, ERA, WHIP, CG, SHO and QS.

Do I make this deal?

I assume a redraft? If so, it really comes down to preference. They are both at the top tier of SP's, play for competitive teams, and neither have a visible weakness. I personally prefer Kershaw, but if you prefer Cain, then there is no reason to make the deal. If you think Kershaw is the better pitcher despite slightly inferior stats at this point, then go for it. I honestly think that it is a toss up at who has the better 2nd half.

Thoughts on mine?

I would take Kershaw as well, but I don't think you're going to go wrong either way. Both continue to pitch well after the all-star break historically, neither throws particularly more CGs than the other, both have been durable, etc. It's kind of a funny trade for the other manager to offer. Probably mesmerized by the perfect game...
